Daniel e a Oração

"Daniel, pois, quando soube que o edito estava assinado, entrou em sua casa (ora havia no seu quarto janelas abertas do lado de Jerusalém), e três vezes no dia se punha de joelhos, e orava, e dava graças diante do seu Deus, como também antes costumava fazer" - Daniel 6:10.
Quando falamos em oração lembramos-nos de muitos servos que tanto no Velho como no Novo testamento, usaram este grande ensinamento do Senhor Jesus, para serem vitoriosos.
Em especial podemos citar Daniel, que resolveu no seu coração não se contaminar com as iguarias do rei da Babilônia, e mesmo no seu cativeiro, ele orava três vezes por dia, na janela do seu quarto voltada para Jerusalém. Com suas orações, Deus concedeu a vida de Daniel e seus amigos, grandes experiências com o Senhor. Fecharam bocas de leão, foram salvos de fornalha de fogo, desvendaram mistérios que só uma pessoa com muita intimidade de oração com Deus, pode ter essas experiências. Hoje a igreja que ora ela é vitoriosa. A oração é um dos fundamentos para que o servo do Senhor hoje consiga vencer todas as suas batalhas. (APDSJESUS).
Observemos, pois, algumas lições do texto acima que são perfeitamente aplicáveis a nossas vidas.
1) Daniel quando soube...
Daniel tinha ciência do que acontecia ao seu redor. Quando soube do edito real assinado e que colocaria sua vida em perigo ele procurou a Deus em oração. Ele sabia que "se Deus não guardar a casa, em vão vigia a sentinela". (Salmo 127:1).
Temos até ciência do que nos cerca, mas invariavelmente não temos a mesma atitude de Daniel quando tomamos conhecimento de algo que se levanta contra nós. Ao invés de buscarmos ao Senhor em oração, nos desesperamos, buscamos ajuda em quem de fato não pode nos ajudar. Simplesmente fracassamos!
2) Daniel entrou em sua casa, em cujo quarto havia janelas abertas para o lado de Jerusalém...
Entrar em casa diz respeito a nos recolher para buscar somente ao Senhor. Diz respeito a buscar o Senhor em secreto e o Pai que nos vê em secreto nos recompensará! (Mateus 6:6). Aleluia! Interessante que buscamos a Deus em secreto, mas a recompensa virá PUBLICAMENTE! (Não foi isto que ocorreu - por exemplo - com Daniel?).
Outra observação: Para que lado as janelas de nossa alma estão abertas? Para Jerusalém ou Babilônia? Jerusalém aponta para cima (celestial), enquanto que Babilônia aponta para baixo (terreno). Assim, Daniel se encontrava fisicamente na Babilônia, mas espiritualmente ele se encontrava em Jerusalém! Mesmo que haja até mesmo um edito escrito e assinado contra nós, nunca poderá haver janela fechada para Deus em nossas vidas. Jamais nos esqueçamos que as "janelas abertas" dizem respeito a nossa comunhão com Deus, cujo canal principal é a oração!
3) Daniel três vezes ao dia se punha de joelhos, e orava, e dava graças diante do seu Deus...
Quem era o Deus de Daniel? Era o grande "EU SOU"!
Quem é seu Deus? Quem é nosso Deus?
É o mesmo Deus de Daniel? Então, mesmo que sejamos um estadista (como Daniel se tornara em Babilônia) será necessário buscar a Deus em oração. NÃO temos desculpas! Somos indesculpáveis porque somos relaxados, indisciplinados. Não gostamos quando somos confrontados com palavras que nos exortam e nos acusam de um tempo demasiado em frente à TV e depois falamos que não temos tempo para orar... ou que estamos cansados demais para tal. A carne não aprecia este tipo de palavra, mas, a exortação é para nosso próprio bem.
Estamos sendo "cortados" por essa palavra hoje... penso eu!
4) Como Daniel também antes costumava fazer...
Daniel não nasceu no cativeiro, portanto, ele cultivava uma vida de oração mesmo antes de ser desterrado para Babilônia, entretanto, tudo isso, todas as implicações que sobrevieram sobre sua vida cativa não foi suficiente para forçá-lo abandonar sua fé. Entendemos porque um anjo lhe disse: "Daniel, homem muito amado, entende as palavras que vou te dizer, e levanta-te sobre os teus pés, porque a ti sou enviado" (Daniel 10:11).
Por que homem mui amado?
As respostas podem ser muitas, mas todas elas passarão pela "oração".
Foi através da oração que Daniel mantinha sua comunhão com o Senhor, matinha sua fé, através dela ele recebeu proteção em variados níveis de sua vida e instruções claras e objetivas acerca de como devia proceder.
Então, fica a pergunta:
Quando "sabemos" de algo que pode nos prejudicar, que atitude nós temos tomado?
Entramos em nosso quarto, cujas janelas estão abertas para o lado de Jerusalém e oramos... ou...
...Não podemos apenas ficar com o "jejum de Daniel"... pois, a vida dele não se resumia apenas ao jejum de 21 dias, mas numa pratica diária completa de oração, abnegação e santidade diante do Senhor!
