O Poder da Língua

Quantas vezes você já falou algo e depois se arrependeu, mas já era tarde. O apóstolo Tiago escreveu sobre os efeitos da palavra.Uma frase na hora errada pode causar um estrago muito grande. Depois que a palavra é emitida não tem como voltar atrás.

Uma pessoa que fala a um auditório pode ser aplaudida ou vaiada, de acordo com o que diz. Quase tudo na nossa vida é resultado da comunicação.

Vamos ver algumas referências bíblicas sobre o poder da língua:

Cuidados com a língua: Prov. 10:19 - 11:12 - 12:18
Conter a língua: Prov. 17:28
Refreiar a língua: Tiago 1:26
Um pequeno órgão: Tiago 3:5-9
Guardar a língua: 1ª Pedro 3:10

São muitos versículos, mas podemos aprender com isso a necessidade de cuidar naquilo que falamos. Você e eu já sofremos as consequências por falar a coisa errada, no lugar errado e na hora errada. Também ja fomos elogiados por dizer a coisa certa, na hora e no lugar certos.

Tiago se preocupou com isso, de forma que dedicou uma parte dos seus escritos para nos alertar dos riscos do mau uso da língua. Não podemos viver sem a língua, mas ela pode causar grandes problemas para a nossa vida.

Para conquistar uma pessoa usamos a língua, mas com ela podemos destruir uma amizade. Para ganhar uma namorada dependemos a voz, mas podemos acabar com um casamento usando a fala.

Grandes estadistas perderam o trono por causa da língua, mas outros já sentaram na mesma cadeira com a palavra certa. Uma declaração de um chefe de Estado pode provocar a queda das bolsas de valores, enquanto outra declaração pode fazer as bolsas subir.

Como estamos usando a nossa língua? Podemos abençoar ou amaldiçoar as pessoas com a nossa língua. O futuro dos nossos filhos pode depender de como usamos a fala para declarar bençãos sobre a vida deles. Também podemos derramar maldições neles com as nossas palavras.

Vamos pensar neste assunto tão sério.
